Across Tundras - Lonesome Wails of the Weeping Willow - REVIEW

What is rock and roll really about? Most people think it’s the rock stardom you see on TV, but the harsh reality is that it’s hard work and passion to deliver ones art. Across Tundras present us some relaxed pace rock that’s dirty, rough and gritty. It’s bluesy, and even twangy with the south and even some country. That raw production with plenty of reverb to make it sound like the whole album is being echoed across a deserted plain from a decrepit empty wooden house. Across a tundra indeed! Take me back in time baby! (source)

Across Tundras review lambgoat.com

Here is a quote from a review that should be posted over on lambgoat.com shortly:

"Across Tundras’ Lonesome Wails from the Weeping Willow might not be as heavy as the band’s previous record, Western Sky Ride, but a more unified songwriting approach and the inclusion of all the bells and whistles of great folk and vintage rock albums easily make it a hit.  It’s perfect for fans of Earth, Neil Young, or those looking to trade a few big doom/sludge riffs for some equally dark western twang. "

Voyager review at Lambgoat.com

Lambgoat have posted a review for Voyager's upcoming debut EP. You can support it by pre-ordering it, it will come out soon, we promise. You can listen to the full thing here.

Bottom Line: Listeners still interested in well-written, dynamic post-metal will have no difficulty getting into Voyager's debut. With a foundation of metallic climaxes, clean melodies, and ambient fluidity, this is an impressive start for the Boston quintet. (read more)

Ninth Moon Black review at The Silent Ballet

Ninth Moon Black's debut album is out now, get your copy here. You can also listen to it here.

Ninth Moon Black’s album brings a taste of aggression that the instrumental genre is so often deprived of.  Despite broken into five long tracks, the album is fast-paced and its 40-some minute length passes quickly, as it is indeed a fun listen. (read more)
